We are LKR Technology Ltd (Company Number: 16149049), with registered offices at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX (BLETA, we, us, our), the creators of the Bleta App (the ‘App’). The App connects women Riders with female Drivers to receive and provide rideshare services with an emphasis on female safety. These terms govern all Driver Accounts; separate Rider Terms apply to passenger accounts.
Female / women only app
The App is for biological females aged 18 or over. It is designed to connect female Riders and Drivers in a female-only environment and relies on the single-sex services exception in Schedule 3, Part 7 of the Equality Act 2010. Riders and Drivers may cancel services where they have reasonable safety or security concerns.
Accounts and availability
Drivers must create and maintain an accurate Account, complete verification as required, upload current licences and documents, and only list themselves as Available to Drive when able to collect a Rider and provide the requested services safely. Drivers must not drive while impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication that may compromise safe vehicle operation.
Driver and vehicle requirements
Drivers must be female, hold the required licences, permits and approvals, have an appropriate smartphone, communicate effectively in English, consent to relevant background checks, and use a compliant vehicle. Vehicles must be registered, insured for commercial ridesharing, listed on the Driver’s Account, and comply with official transport requirements.
Ride requests and rider safety
Drivers who accept a Request to Ride agree to provide the stated Services and use best endeavours not to cancel. Drivers may cancel where a Rider or passenger breaches the Rider Terms or the App’s female-only safety requirements. Drivers must not allow other persons in their vehicle during a trip other than the Rider and authorised passengers.
Fees, payment and refunds
Listing as Available to Drive is free. BLETA charges Commission for connecting Riders and Drivers. Ride Fares are held and processed through WorldPay or another online payment provider, with payments released after Services are completed, subject to lawful refunds and applicable terms.
Relationship, taxes and data
Drivers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of BLETA. Drivers are responsible for their own income, taxes, insurance and legal obligations. Drivers must not solicit Riders outside the App and must keep Rider Personal Data confidential.
App licence, disputes, privacy and standard terms
Your use of the App is subject to the App Store Rules or Google’s Rules, as applicable. You must not modify the App, misuse intellectual property, upload unlawful material, introduce harmful code or disrupt the service. Disputes should first be addressed with the relevant user and then reported via the App, our website, or Info@bletasupport.com. Our Privacy Policy explains our use of personal and location data. BLETA may update these terms, limit liability as permitted by law, suspend or terminate Accounts for breach, and transfer its rights. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
DRIVER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We are LKR Technology Ltd (Company Number: 16149049), with registered offices located at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX (BLETA, we, us, our) the creators of the Bleta App (referred to below as the ‘App’) a ride share app for female riders and drivers to receive and provide ride share services with an emphasis on ensuring female safety.
We have developed the App which is intended to connect women (Riders) with female drivers (Drivers) to order their transport services. You can read more about how we define women/females at clause 1.
These terms and conditions govern all driver accounts on our App. Separate terms and conditions apply to passenger (Riders) accounts, which are available here: [link to Rider T&Cs] (Rider Terms).
By downloading the App, you are agreeing to the terms of this agreement which are legally binding. Please read it together with our privacy policy, available at [insert link] before you download and use the App. Only download the App if you have read the rules and agree to them.
If you do not agree to these terms, we will not allow you to use the App and you should not download it.
In this agreement:
references to the ‘App Store’ means Apple’s App Store and we refer to their rules and policies contained in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions as the ‘App Store Rules’.
references to ‘Google Play’ means the app distribution platform operated by Google and known as Google Play, and we refer to Google’s terms of service (and other applicable terms) collectively as ‘Google’s Rules’.
in clauses where we use the phrase “App Store Rules or Google’s Rules (as applicable)”, we intend for the App Store Rules to apply to users who have obtained the App via the Apple App Store, and for Google’s Rules to apply to users who have obtained the App via the Google Play distribution platform.
FEMALE/WOMEN ONLY APP
This App is not intended for use by males (biological males or persons with the male sex at birth) of all ages, or any person under the age of 18 years old or any person who has previously been suspended or prohibited from using the App. By using the App, you represent that you are both a biological female AND over the age of 18.
Please do not access the App if you have previously been suspended or prohibited from using the App.
The App is designed to connect female Riders to female Drivers who can provide rideshare Services to the Rider (and their approved Passengers) in a female-only environment. This is to increase the safety and security of both the Rider and Driver.
In these terms, when we refer to female or women/woman we are referring to a biological females (i.e. a person of female sex at birth).
Both Drivers and Riders have the ability to cancel the Services if they are not comfortable with the other Driver or Rider (as the case may be) for safety or security concerns in breach of this clause 1).
Ridesharing services are inherently risky because Riders enter a confined, lockable and moving vehicle with an unknown person. There have been well-documented cases of violence or harassment in taxis or other ridesharing vehicles. Because of this, and the increased risk of male-perpetrated violence or harassment against female passengers, our App is exclusively available to biological female Riders and Drivers only, subject only to a limited exception for male passengers under the age of 12 who are accompanied by a female Rider as set out in clause 8(c).
The exclusion of male Users of our App is made in reliance on the single-sex services exception under Schedule 3, Part 7 of the Equality Act 2010.
PROCESS FOR USING THE APP
Drivers will list themselves on the App as Available to Drive.
Riders will use the App to submit an open Request to Ride.
The first Driver within a certain vicinity of the Rider to accept the Request to Ride will perform the services for that Rider as listed in the Request to Ride (Services).
